2023 Spring Election Information

General Election Important Dates
  • March 15 - Deadline to register to vote by mail

  • March 15 - Deadline to register to vote online

  • March 30 - Deadline to request an absentee ballot (regular and permanent overseas voters)

  • March 31 - Deadline to request an absentee ballot (indefinitely confined and military)

  • March 31 - Deadline to register to vote in person at your municipal clerk’s office

  • March 21 - April 2 - Deadline for in-person early voting (check your municipal clerk's website)

  • April 4 - Register to vote in person at your polling place

  • April 4 @ 8 PM - Deadline to return an absentee ballot

  • April 4 - ELECTION DAY FROM 7AM - 8PM

Important Information
  • Due to a 2022 Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling, drop-boxes will no longer be allowed in Wisconsin elections, including the Spring 2023 Election. You can only drop off your own ballot to your municipal clerk's office.

  • Once you send your absentee ballot back, you can track it by going to this website

  • Find out which candidates will be on your ballot by using this link

  • Check your municipality's website for in-person absentee (early voting) dates and hours

  • Make sure to request and return your absentee ballot as soon as possible! We highly recommend you drop off your ballot at your municipal clerk's office to avoid any mail delays.
