Run for Office
In Waukesha County

Thank you for taking the step to run for office. It takes a lot of courage to step into public service, and we want you to know we’re here to support you. As Barack Obama said, “The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something.”

At Blue Sky, we’ve been working hard to build a community that lifts up leaders like you. Over the years, we’ve hosted events where candidates connect directly with our members, shared endorsements and recommendations for candidates who align with our values, and backed those candidates with mailers and digital ads.

We always recommend reaching out to your municipal clerk (for local elections), the Wisconsin Election Commission (for state races), or the Federal Election Commission (for federal offices) to get the most accurate information about running. We’ve also linked below to organizations that support progressive candidates.

Be sure to keep an eye out for our 2026 endorsement process. Sign up for our newsletter, and you’ll be the first to know when it opens.

We’re also putting together a new program for 2026: a formal candidate support network and training program. This will be the first one tailored specifically for the unique landscape of running in Waukesha County. We can’t wait to share more soon!
